Preston Park Tavern

Preston Park, Brighton

  • Purpose:     Post Rugby League Sustenance

  • Good for:    Craft Beer

  • Verdict:       Tasty burger - meaty patty, smoked cheddar interesting, from a selection of two meat and one mushroom. Brioche bun didn't make it too sweet, pickle on top always nice to make discarding easy - gherk out - chips not so great, beer very good.

  • Burger:        Solid.

  • Cost:            ££

Honest Burger

Soho

  • Purpose:     Slaying burgers on St Georges Day

  • Good for:    Waiting

  • Verdict:       Ultimately the burger was disappointing, strange given that the place is generally heaving, smaller than expected and not really tasting of much. On the positive side, the skin on chips were surprisingly good, especially as I normally resent them. Reasonable beers and nice house wine.

  • Burger:        Bit dull.

  • Cost:            ££
