Apple's Burger Blog
I love burgers. This is a record of my burger eats for posterity, for when I inevitably die of burger related disease and/or obesity. Enjoy Apple's burger reviews, enjoy burgers more (responsibly of course)
Let this be a tasty warning. Enjoy !

Verdict: A little disappointing, which may colour the review a little, and not because there's no alcohol - I can do without it one night a week. The problem was under-delivery. The grungy design is probably cool somewhere, and the service was fine, the menu promised well but the product was flawed. In look, the cheeseburger ticks the boxes, and it was medium rare as requested, so kudos for that, but the overriding taste was blandness (maybe a little overseasoned blandness, but I don't eat a lot of salt, so maybe normal), unless you ate the bit of bun that was charred - which improved the flavour nicely. The patty looked good and the texture was nice, but didn't taste of a lot. The bun was a little sweet, I couldn't taste the mayo or cheese particularly, and the salad was nice enough, contributing to a burger taste that reminded me of a good pub burger, not a dead loss by any means - unlike the fries which were of the soggy skin on variety.

Purpose: Pre-match sustenance

Good for: Supporting our sponsors and enjoying good food

Verdict: In contrast to most locations, this actually tasted home made, which in some ways isn't an advantage. In this case, the patties were too tall, possibly not grilled at a high enough temperature, which left a taste of minced beef. Had it been flattened out a bit and charred a bit (like the bun, which was good despite that), it would have tasted better and fitted the burger more effectively. Overall with the salad, sauce and cheese, it was reasonable. Chips were very good, despite being skin on, crispy and tasty. Beers of the bottled variety, not a great selection but it's not a bar.
