Apple's Burger Blog
I love burgers. This is a record of my burger eats for posterity, for when I inevitably die of burger related disease and/or obesity. Enjoy Apple's burger reviews, enjoy burgers more (responsibly of course)
Let this be a tasty warning. Enjoy !

Verdict: I didn't think that the same pub could have two residencies as successful as Yeah! Burgers and Burger And Beyond. If I didn't know better I'd have thought they'd just changed the signage. Really nice burger, crisp fries and a good range of pub beers. Beef well cooked, nice texture, linking well with the subtle cheese flavour and not too strong saucing - really quite tasty. A nice range of burgers on offer. Monday night offer of 2 x Burgers from the top 3 on the menu (which is a reasonable selection, the hot one was also really good) for £12. £12!!! - it's a good job I don't live in Hackney.

Chuck Burger
Spitalfields (allegedly, more Whitechapel)

Verdict: Three in a row - boom! The only thing wrong was the sauce, which was very nice but there was too much of it, obliterating the patty and giving the nice and sharp pickle a hard time. The bun held together throughout despite this, and when the meat wasn't hidden it was very nice, and not at all greasy. Jolly tasty - just needs less sauce to be outstanding I would say. "Skin on fries" weren't, which isn't a bad thing, and there's a small selection of beers to suit most tastes - unless you don't like hoppy craft beers (best of the bunch was the Rooster Fort Smith, which I mention as it's from Wetherby, as in Leeds)., plus hard shakes and a wine option (literally one red, and one wihte). Not too expensive in an industrial-ish setting, making the whole experience a bit like an upmarket MEATmarket. Which is positive.
